The Ballarat Clarendon College Foundation Limited

The Ballarat Clarendon College Foundation Limited was set up in 1981 as a company limited by guarantee and is the fundraising arm of the College. The control, management and business dealings of the Foundation are administered by a Board of Directors.

The objects for which the Ballarat Clarendon College Foundation was inaugurated are:
  • to encourage and foster the interest and financial support of past students, parents of students, and friends of the college
  • to preserve, improve and develop by means of donations, gifts, testamentary dispositions and other forms of deferred gifts. College services, property and facilities
  • to set up and administer as Trustees, trusts and/or other funds established for the benefit of the College
  • to invest and deal with money of the Foundation in such manner as may be thought fit
  • to enlist the support of the College community for activities calculated to enhance the quality of education provided by the College, including:
    1. the acquisition of plant and equipment, land and buildings, and the construction of buildings used or to be used by the College
    2. providing print materials, works of art and educational equipment of all kinds
    3. granting or awarding scholarship allowances and bursaries for the purpose of assisting students from all walks of life
    4. encouraging visits from scholars and others with qualifications which enable them to contribute to the education of the student body and teaching staff
    5. employing teaching staff with specialist skills so as to promote the educational mission of the College.
It is policy, adopted by the Committee of the Ballarat Clarendon College Council, for a representative of the Foundation to be elected to the governing Council.

The Foundation seeks to ensure that future generations are able to use, to the best advantage, the school which past generations have built.

The Ballarat Clarendon College Parents & Friends [P&F] Association

This auxiliary's role is to promote the welfare of Ballarat Clarendon College; promote social contact between members of the school community, staff, past and present Collegians, and other friends of the school; assist with the financing of major projects.

It organises the second-hand book sales at the end of each year.
Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month during term.

Junior School Parents Group [JSPG]

This auxiliary's role is to support the children, parents and teaching staff of the Junior School, including organising, for each class, a Classroom Representative who coordinates parent volunteers to help children with reading or any other special activities, at the teacher's request.

Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month during term.

Sound Support

This auxiliary's role is to support the performing arts program.

Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month during term.

1920 Club

This auxiliary's role is to support the rowing program.

Meetings are held on the first and third Mondays in the month [February and March] and then on the first Tuesday of the month.
